life advice and lessons from the people we love

Documenting life stories in Monterey County

So much of who we are comes from the people who came before us.
Their stories.
Their experiences. Their way of seeing the world.

At The People We Love, we believe the most meaningful stories are told in quiet, intentional moments. That’s why each legacy interview is filmed in a familiar environment, often at home or in a place that holds personal significance.

Before filming, we take time to prepare. Questions are thoughtfully developed to guide the conversation while leaving room for spontaneity and reflection. Family members may be involved in shaping the interview or simply receive the finished film as a cherished keepsake.

These interviews are not rushed or overly produced. They are honest conversations captured with care, preserving a person’s story in their own words.

We also devote time to advice for loved ones and future generations.

    • This offering includes an in-depth pre interview meeting, up to three hours of filmed interview, guided musical segments, photo and heirloom integration, and storytelling that spans life chapters. Life advice, values, and reflections are highlighted alongside an optional family message montage.

OUR STORY

When Natasha’s mother died unexpectedly in 2024, she was left with so many questions she hadn’t thought to ask. There became a deep longing for her mother’s advice about things that suddenly mattered. In the stillness of that grief, something sparked: a need to preserve the voices we love before they fade.
My mom always taught me that no life is ordinary—that everybody is a somebody.”
At The People We Love, it is our mission to continue honoring that truth by helping others preserve the voices, stories, advice, and personality of the people they love through intimate life interview films.
